Introducing LG ThinQ House by Estudio Guto Requena + Pax Arquitetura

Embracing Sustainable Construction

In the face of escalating CO2 emissions from civil construction, innovative approaches to design and building are imperative. LG ThinQ House emerges as a pioneering initiative, leveraging open-source digital fabrication through the wikihouse platform. This sustainable construction method, rooted in global collaboration, offers versatility adaptable to diverse project requirements.

Sustainable Methodology

Crafted from naval pine plywood sheets, machined with precision on a CNC machine, and assembled solely through fittings, LG ThinQ House embodies a new paradigm in construction. Its framework, comprising three articulated portico axes connected by a modular system, is enveloped in prefabricated wooden boards, forming walls and ceilings with efficiency and precision.

Minimizing Environmental Impact

The construction process of LG ThinQ House exemplifies cleanliness, efficiency, and waste reduction. The external structure, occupying a 100 m² area, was erected in a mere 10 days, contrasting sharply with the carbon-intensive nature of traditional concrete buildings. Wood construction not only minimizes CO2 emissions but also actively sequesters carbon dioxide, contributing to environmental sustainability.

Interior Design and Furnishings

Inside LG ThinQ House, the interior exudes comfort, elegance, and sustainability. Wooden slabs adorn the space, providing a warm ambiance complemented by carefully curated Brazilian design furniture and artwork. The Stainless Steel Kitchen, custom-designed for LG ThinQ House, embodies hygiene, durability, and recyclability, aligning with the project’s ethos of sustainability.

Curating a Connected Living Experience

LG ThinQ House integrates intelligent automation powered by LG ThinQ technology, offering seamless connectivity and enhanced living experiences. From lighting to environmental control, every aspect of the home is synchronized to optimize comfort, convenience, and sustainability. Design, art, and technology converge to redefine modern living in harmony with the environment.

LG ThinQ House by Estudio Guto Requena + Pax Arquitetura stands as a beacon of innovation, offering a glimpse into a sustainable future where design, technology, and environmental consciousness intersect seamlessly.
